Outback Chest Rig Harness

The Outback is the most form-fitting and thus the most comfortable chest pack harness on the market. We never liked how hot it feels when wearing a chest pack. This harness solved that issue.

The Outback is made of durable laser-cut Squadron material that drapes over your shoulders and back, eliminating any bunching. We removed large sections for improved ventilation, which also reduced the weight to a scant 3 oz. Stronger than webbing, lighter than webbing, hydrophobic, and more comfortable.

What’s not to like? Webbing-based “X” or “H” style harness styles never quite hang in the exact spot you want them and they always feel too tight or too loose. When you find one with enough adjustment to fit correctly there is significant excess webbing and tails to manage, which is never fun.

The Outback solves these problems and adds many more features such as attachment points to integrate suspenders with a belt kit or a map pack. This platform works with our Frontier chest pack but is also the best host for many other third-party chest rigs/packs on the market.
